::: Halos and Horns :::
Rarely has a sportswriter ever captured life in Cincinnati as accurately as Pat Forde. Few other places will publicly celebrate the release of the first season of a sitcom (WKRP in Cincinnati) that only aired four seasons and, other than the opening montage, was filmed entirely in California? I love this place!

::: An Imus Among Us :::
I can't for the life of me figure out why this whole Don Imus thing is such big news. While I'm not condoning what he said, I've heard elected public officials say a lot worse. All of these folks are running around screaming racism while I'll argue it was just stupidity...which once again proves any discussion goes to hell whenever you get the Reverand Al Sharpton involved. What I find truly hysterical, however, is how Rev. Jesse Jackson is helping lead this charge...yet, back in the mid-80s, he is the one who once referred to everyone living in New York City as living in "hymietown". We are a nation obsessed with celebrity that over-reacts quickly and thoughtlessly. And its even worse when the meat is fresh and the newsrooms are quiet. In a month, this will all be on the back page, just above the bikini-wearing fireman and the Duke lacrosse team.
